Another Celeb Passing!

I liked George Michael, brilliant songwriter, I liked that he was flawed like we all are, it’s just that when he was fighting his battles they got plastered all over the media. But he was still able to laugh at himself and not take himself too seriously. 2016 isn’t a bad year, I reckon the last two world wars still edge that debate, but it is a year when I think people from my generation upwards are starting to get reminded of our own mortality and that nothing lasts forever. Don’t mourn, just celebrate what you have and who you are with, and live in the here and now.

Riding the Storm

It’s fair to say I’ve had an amazing year with my OCD but I always struggle in December big time and this year no exception.

My anxiety is through the roof, obsessions with the numbers 7 and 12 manifesting into my thoughts. I’m not letting the fuckers win but they fight a dirty battle.

Riding the storm!

The Labour Parliamentary Party want to be a watered down cozy version of the Conservative Party. As part of the establishment as any Tory Bullingdon Boy and his mates.
Other than the SNP one little old bloke who cycles to work and where’s dull beige jackets stands against AUSTERITY POLICIES. He reckons the world can be better if we all pay our taxes fairly , don’t avoid them and we can invest in our NHS , Education and Public Transport services and that it is morally wrong to get the poor and most vulnerable of society to pay for and suffer as a result of a financial crash caused by the banks and financial institutions.
He’s the only leader who stands Anti- Austerity , the only one! The only one who stands alongside nurses, dr’s, firemen, the poor, the vulnerable , the sick and old. The only one.

Funny that this little old bloke is such a threat they want to completely and utterly destroy him if they can………….mmmmmmmm…….may be he speaketh the truth and there is another way to the neo-liberalism ways of the past 30+ years……cause clearly that’s working well!

If they win and beat him that’s when this countries real problems start , because the rest of them just think the same, it’s only the colour of their rosettes that differ. And I guarantee those of you that voted leave , the Torys and Tory Lite of the Labour Party will shaft you over your referendum victory.

It’s been ages since my last true post. So here’s a bit of a snapshot of the last few months.

The biggest change is that my wife and I are now approved as Foster Carers. We got final approval just before Christmas and our first ‘new guests’ came to us in early February. A 2 and 4 year old brother and sister sibling group. Add this to a son at Uni, a son in year 11 preparing for his final exams and a soon to be 11 year old son who goes to High School in September, and you can probably imagine how busy it’s been! Lol.

My wife continues to work full time whilst I’ve had a break from my ‘day job’ and take the lead on it. For the record as I type this on my phone the little boy of 2 is jumping up and down on my belly!

Prior to Christmas I had a little wobble and felt more anxious about things than I had done for a long time. But what with the imminent changes to our lives I’ve put that down to natural emotions rather than OCD ones.

It’s hard for me to differentiate sometimes. I’ve lived with OCD and anxiety that long , to me it is normal to feel and act in a particular manner. So when I have normal worries, whatever normal is, it’s kind of hard not to attribute it to that condition.

Anyway I do know one thing, since we’ve been fostering, I’ve not had any OCD tendencies whatsoever, so focused on the wellbeing of the two kiddies and my own brood has left little time to dwell on things. Plus there’s nothing like hearing the back story of a child’s upbringing to put your own life and anxieties into perspective.
